Nowhere near as elegant and breathtaking as the matching Pierce Arrow and trailer, but an interesting design in its own way, mimicing some contemporary bus design and Packards themselves. Worth preserving, I think. I hope that someone steps up.

I think I saw it pictured in either OLD CARS or S.I.A. a number of years ago. I don't have room for it, but it sure would be neat to see back on the road!

While that would be a good place to start, it would take serious commitment and even deeper pockets. Not for me.

What a project. Restoring that should receive a lifetime achievement award.

As much as I love the Packard running gear, that may be the least attractive front face ever put on a motor vehicle.

there's not much left of it. As the vehicle stands, one will have to replace most, if not all, of the wood. They admit the floors in the rear are shot. Six thousand seems a bit steep for such a project.

We've had that one on here before. If I remember right someone had some of the history on it.

The current owner has the complete history of the vehicle, as stated in the ebay description. However, I still say that six grand is a lot for what ammounts to an old backyard project that survives (or nearly) in shambles.

Could you imagine driving that thing?? It looks like the drive sits just about in the center! I'd love to try it. Unfortunately, I would not tackle it even if I got it free. I agree that face is pretty homely, but that just adds to the charm for me:)
