Love the picture. My teenage years would have been great if I had one of those convertibles to cruise around in.

Love the picture. My teenage years would have been great if I had one of those convertibles to cruise around in. It WAS GREAT!!! I hit 16 in 1965 in Jacksonville Beach Fla. I had a 48 Champion Convertible. My Dad paid $35. bucks for it. Everyone was trying to unload Studebakers because they were out of business here, and you wre not going to be able to get parts for long.

That old car cruised the beach loaded with teenagers and surfboards untill we moved back to Ga. where it cruised the back country roads loaded with redneck teenagers and shotguns. It was great for rabbit hunting. if you caught ones eyes in the light, you just stood up and shot. BANG!! Dead rabbit. NT
