  • Another member in for fine tuning

I hope he doesn't get mad at me for posting this, but our friend and Stude guy Extroardinaire Gary Lindstrom (studegary) is going in for minor surgery. Gary's been an SDC member since 1968, owned, restored, shown, and distributed dozens of Studes; held many positions within the Club; and is a recipient of the Harry Barnes Award.

I believe it's a minor outpatient procedure, but no surgery is fun. Best of luck my friend, and back to 100 percent soon!

Thanks all for the kind words. I do not consider it to be a "biggy", so I did not post it here. It is minor compared to what some others are going through. I look at it as part of aging that beats the alternative <G>.

I had surgery to remove a growing growth in the side of my chest. The outer stitches come out next Friday (9/10). The inner stitches just disolve (or stay there). It is just a matter of healing and waiting for the biopsy report. In the meantime, there are some things that I have to do and some things that I can't do.

Several of you asked for an update on my minor surgery.

I had the surgery on Sept. 3. Stitches were removed Sept. 10.

For those that like to know such things - The surgeon told me that he used 26 sutures/stitches. This will also indicate that the growth was of some size and not just some small spot or bump that was removed.

Today, Oct. 4, I was finally able to get the pathology report. There is nothing for me to worry about. On to the next thing <G>.
