If they don't sell they get scrapped. If they haven't already.
It's a shame!!!
Wish i could save em.

I wouldn't worry as lots of folks say that in an attempt to sell their vehicles. The common response of this list is: Crush Them then!

They would likely get more cash for selling than scrapping.

That old empty threat does get tiring. Naturally they will sell for more than scrap price, as John said. It's just a ploy designed to tug at heart strings, and I don't get it- I guess it's supposed instill a sense of urgency.

A dumb variation is to offer a car that will draw $200 for scrap for $1000 firm or 'it's off to the crusher'. Go ahead, tough guy.

Offering these for $1 it doesn't seem as if the seller is anything but honest. He's willing to sell them for far less than scrap value.

On many Craigslist ads, the person puts in $1 just to fill in a mandatory field, not because they will sell for that amount.
This seller is fishing for offers above scrap value.

There goes my belief in human kindness, Bob.

I've never dealt with Craig's list, didn't realize.......

One never knows what is really going one with a case like this, maybe he is in a bind and needs to move and get rid of old cars and truck, been there done that, main thing here is that there is 4 "C" cabs sitting out there for the taking one dollar or maybe more, don't take every post as a threat some times people just come to the end of wanting old things hanging around, I know the feeling. the threat sure gets people attention, maybe someone should check them out might be a good deal.

Look at the background in these two pictures. This isn't your average collector with a nagging wife. This place is a commercial scrap yard. In Oregon they have a limit as to how long a vehicle may be in a yard. If it exceeds the limit the law requires it to be crushed. At least, that's how it was explained to me.

It's a shame really... but there you have it.
