The North Star Chapter of the Studebaker Driver's Club is having a Studebaker & multi-make car show on Labor Day, Studebaker 6 (September 6th). I plan on attending, and then cruising to the Frostop Drive-In at Taylors Falls after the show for a burger and a frosted mug of the best root beer! More information about the show can be found at the attached weblink.

Brent, I plan to be there. My mechanic said my lark convert should be ready wed. or thursday unless any weird bugs creep up on the test drives. Had engine rebuilt. I hope to drive it all weekend and make sure it's ready for the show! If not, I will have my trusty lark hardtop.

I'm bringing my youngest nephew with and hope to be there at 10 am, but I wont make any promises. Skinny and his wife and I took the Hawk out for a drive tonight to the local Dairy Queen for dinner/supper, so I'll scrape off a few bugs and be on my way to see you folks tomorrow. :)

Your Lark convertible looks great Eric! I'm anxious to see it in person.

I wont be there. My folks want to drop by and visit in the morning.Family first so I'll miss the fun.
The old man is not a car guy so I wouldnt even waste the time trying to get him to Hugo.
If there was a IH/Farmall show...now that would be another story.
Enjoy guys.

I was wanting to go, but my kids just hit me up at dinner to go fishing tomorrow. I will have to see how long they last on the water.

A big THANK YOU to the crew for putting this show together.
I left at about 1:30 due to the convertible top having holes in it, and wanted to beat the rain home. It started sprinkling on my way home, but not bad.
Pictures to follow.

one more, here is a pic of the engine rebuild on my 60 lark convert. I know it's not correct color-wise, but I like it this way.

Mr. & Mrs. Skinny! The lovely Mrs. Skinny is displaying this 1963 GT Hawk which some clown drove through the cattle pasture yesterday and bottomed out on a large rock. Oops! :)

I had a good time visiting with the Studebaker folks here and I finally met the Studebaker forum guru himself, Bob Shaw! I ask all of you to encourage Bob to get the engine and tranny back in his beloved Hawk so that he can drive & show it again. :)

Anyone know the story on the salmon colored Lark? I have never seen that car.....yet one of my favorite colors. Thanks for posting the pics.
Sorry but I was not able to make it. Making every attempt this year to make the Jordan show with one of my 58 Packards. Take care and sorry I missed it, looks like a great turnout.

How many Fs did you say when you hit that rock ? After the initial shock wore off, we all started laughing so hard there wasn't time to cuss! Just let it be known that it was the "owner/clown" that decided to take the "short cut" back to his house. When he kindly offered and let me take over the controls, I stayed on designated roads!

All kidding aside, Kristi and I had a great time visiting with Brent, checking out his projects and walking around his own personal nature preserve. The show in Hugo had hundreds of cars to look at with a large display of Studes. I met a few forum members, got to hear the Salt to Salt 182" V8 fire up and had a great time. Thanks to everyone!

Skinny, being in Watertown, do you ever go to the Dozinky Days in New Prague. Huge turnout of cars. Usually around 400, Or the Jordan car show? Both are in September.

Anyone know the story on the salmon colored Lark? I have never seen that car.....yet one of my favorite colors.

The 1959 Lark belongs to Jim Gieselman and I think it's for sale. Jim is the upholsterer that installed the seat covers in my Hawk and he upholstered the center armrest too and did a great job. He is listed on the local club roster if you are interested.

If I recall correctly, he was asking $7500 for it last summer.

It had a for sale sign in it! I can't remember who the owner was, however, maybe someone else can enlighten us.
