I got an amazing opportunity for IDYSD. It seems that there is a private party in Reno that day and the guest of honor used to own a yellow bullet nose Studebaker. They were looking for one for a static display at the party and were willing to pay handsomely for the use of the car.
So I will have to DRIVE my Studebaker the day before and the day after but it will be roped off in the ballroom on the 4th of September. Still an excellent opportunity to be seen on IDYSD, which was really the point - was it not?
I want to send out a big thanks to Larry Schnell of Sparks for putting me in contact with the hotel. I have already invited Larry and his wife to join my wife and I for dinner that day. I'm sure he will drive his Studebaker to the restaurant.
