  • 51 Champion Circuit Breaker Wiring on Speedometer

I think I simplified the question: does the breaker's "Bat" (short) terminal go to the ammeter's "Plus" terminal, and is the ammeter's Plus terminal the one on the driver's side?

Wiring diagram in the Shop Manual (Supplement page 9) showed a single wire from one terminal of the breaker to the ammeter Plus side, with all the other wires connected to the opposite terminal of the breaker. But it does not specify which terminal of the breaker connects to the ammeter (Bat or Aux). Pic in the same manual (Body section, page 14-15) shows driver's side breaker terminal with a single wire to ammeter's driver's side terminal. But the breaker can be mounted onto the speedo with either "Bat" (short post) or "Aux" (long post) toward the driver's side of the car.

Should be easy if someone can confirm that the Breaker "Bat" goes to the ammeter "Plus" and that the ammeter "Plus" is on the driver's side.

    Regards,
    Clarence
