Stopped by SI in South Bend on friday while on my way to Thunder over Michigan (I'm a ww2 reenactor & we had an event along with the air show). It was nice to visit with the guys at a non meet environment where there aren't a ton of people there. It was sad that the 300 bucks I dropped for parts didn't fill a copy box half way.....

On the bright side, at least you have some nice new Studebaker items to show for that $300 that you spent. You could have spent that money at the casino and ended up with nothing to show for it. Compared to that, I say you got a great deal!

Mike, I didn't even know there was such a thing as a WWII reenactor until last summer when myself, my brother and our Mom rode on the SS Brown. The reenactors did a great job of manning the guns and fighting off the German fighter!

I didn't either until summer of '07. I live near Evansville, In. & they have the only functional LST boat still going. They have a D-day reenactment on the anniversary every year. That's how I got involved. My wife wasn't too keen on it, as it's just one more hobby which takes time away from everything else.....

I've been looking for a 1 1/2 ton or so M series truck to adapt into a russian truck (lend lease vehicle). If anybody knows of a cab & chassis laying around, let me know.
