  • 1950 Champion vs. 1950 Commander, will the air cleaners interchange?

I have a relitive downstate who found a decent looking oil bath air cleaner for my Champion, but it came off of a 1950 Commander.

The pictures that my wife recieved on her phone look like the air cleaner would fit, but pictures do not replace handling the thing and fitting it to the car.

My car originally had an air element cleaner, but I have missplaced it.
I do not believe it was stolen from the car when the radio and trim parts were stolen, but I have not figured out where I put it right now.

The air cleaners for single barrel carbs all look to be interchangable, but I only know what I have been working with.

I know my old air element cleaner appeared to fit the 1947 Pickup a couple of years ago when I was cleaning it up and trying to do some PM on it.

    What do you know?

Yes, they will fit. I will get back with you. I will go down and put a champion air cleaner on for a test.

The Champion is taller and has a smaller diameter than the Commander but I think it will fit.
