Thanks Roy, I have seen that car, a lot of surface rust, complete interior has to be replaced, not running or stopping. So it is a real project that we're not ready to take on. If someone just has to have a '50 Champion Starlight project in the Northwest, let me know.StudeRich

it happens now and then...
What's that you ask?
Dad being wrong.
I just got off the phone with the owner of this car,
and it is NOT the one Dad (and Mike and I) know of.
The one we 'know' is a '51--- this one is NOT!!!
Seeing as this '50 is just 'round the corner,
there's no harm in taking a look, right???
That'll happen tomorrow night for those interested...

Be advised-- last time I checked it- the owner of the '51 wanted way more $$$...

Yesterdays' Starlite adventure was a bust.
The '51 is gone- no idea where it is.
I had trouble contacting the owner of the '50.
Today was a bit different~ Dad and I just got back from looking the '50 over.
First things first~ it's a COMMANDER!!!
The motor (and hood) are long gone- it's trans (OD) was in the trunk. The 'surface rust' is only there because most of the paint is gone. That and the condition of the interier (what's there anyway) tell me that this car may be from Eastern Washington. The body seems very rot free~ and there's not too much floor rust to be found. The windshield was cracked, as were both door pieces. All of the wrap around stuff was good. The front bumper was gone.
Dad got some pictures, but it wasn't easy. I say that because the Coupe was sharing it's garage with two vintage Beetles, a '64 Fairlane 'vert, an XJS, multiple Harleys, an F-100, and a '63 Crown FIRE TRUCK!!!
Drop me a line if I missed anything you wanna know about.
All in all I'd say this car is a shell that is far from scrap.
It's not too far gone yet...
