  • White over Orange Stude truck

If I ever get to that point, I've decided I definitely want to go with off-white over Omaha Orange on my '59 pickup. I'm adding the Transtar door "checkmarks" and I think it'll look good. I've never seen it done on a Studebaker and can't help but wonder if it's been done before or not. Anybody have pictures of a truck with such a paint scheme? Was Orange and White ever offered on any truck from the factory? (I know some '56 cars were built with those colors).

Here's the closest I've found to what I want, but obviously it's not a Stude.

Seen this color combo on lots of vehicles, not just trucks.
It looks great, Matt - run with it!

Wasn't Stephen's Diesel Champ Orange and white? I have some pictures somewhere of Jerry and Bobby playing in the back at a Hazlehurst car show many years ago. NT

I had all but forgotten about Steve's old truck.

Parchment White over Omaha Orange was a factory color offering in 1959 (4E series). I'm not at home so don't have the paint code at the moment.

Speaking of orange and white, did you see this beauty this year at the May swap meet?

Brent, I did see that car in SB. It's too bad the weather was so horrible that weekend.

Mark, now that I didn't know! I take it there weren't many white/orange trucks built.

Slightly off topic. If any of you can lay your hands on an IH hood emblem, (in good nic), the same as on the '56 pick up in the pic can you let me know. The ones down here are blistered badly.

How about this one. It belongs to Dick Grove in Cottonwood California.

Jon, that's a nice looking wrecker and I like all the "extras". But I admit, the darker color looks more Pink (Salmon) than Orange on my monitor.

Thanks Mark. It'd be nice if I could get it painted for $21.52!

You got it Andy! This truck will be a "dream" come true, as whenever it's done it'll be exactly how I want.

The picture color is true. Do not adjust your set. I thought it was close enough to be interesting.
