  • 47 studebaker convertible drive cable

I am looking for a drive cable core for a 48 studebaker convertible. It is the part between the two lift assembies. I bought one however the end was damaged and is unuseable and the place where I got it is gone. Any suggestions!
    Thanks

Try Joliet Studebaker, they have a lot of "stuff" like that!

They also substitute with a speedometer cable. Before you do anything, take the time to open each drive's bases. You can make a new gasket if you have to out of paper or any gasket cement. Then clean out the gears where the cable attaches as the grease should be rock hard by this time. Then drill a hole and tap it to acccept a zerk fitting. You probably will only have to lubricate once but in the event the zerk fittting is better than tearin the drive apart.
