  • rims needed for my 50 Champion

    Hi

Anyone in northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin have 4 good 15" rims for a 1950 Champion? It has the 4 x 4 bolt pattern. Price? Well cheap as possible, of course. The bias plys on the car now are in very good shape and I was hoping to put them aside on rims to use for emergencies or possibly retrieving another car. I want to mount some radials on this puppy for a regular driver.

You can leave a message here, or my email tim@btmindustries.com or a call on me cell 815-861-1505.

    Thanks

I have 4 15" Champion wheels with P205-75- 15 radials mounted with less than 200 miles on them, narrow whitewalls. Problem is they are in Omaha Ne. I will be coming to South Bend in May and June and could bring them if interested if that helps.Price is $200.00 firm.

That's not an unreasonable offer at all. I was hoping to have them on the car in the next week or so, but that is not critical. I think if we tried UPS it would add another $100+ to the deal. If I do not find some rims in the next week or so, maybe we could work something out with meeting enroute to SB. BTW -- What model tire and why have you decided not to use such a new tire?

        Thanks.

            Tim,

I've run P205/75R 15 tires on my 1950 Champion's original rims for about two years with no problems. Frank's price for both rims and tires is pretty good![^]

I'll have to go to my storage and look to see what brand the tires are later this evening.I will be busy this afternoon with Easter things but I believe they are an inhouse brand of one of the National tire warehouses though. The reason I have them they were on my 41 Champion and I rodded it and changed all the running gear. The previous owner had put 15" wheels on the car.You are right shipping costs would be prohibitive.

That's a deal I'd jump on if I were in need of such![]

                            Frank

Are you coming to SB for the May 4-5 swap meet? I already have a commitment for that weekend, but maybe I can find someone local who is also going to this swap meet and might be willing to cart these back here. I am assuming that was your trip to SB in May and June. Could be wrong.

                            Let me know.

                            Thanks
