oill filter

[57studechampion]

I was watching a 57 Stude Champion for sale on ebay. It has an oil filter displayed in photos. I also have a 57 Stude Champion. It does not have an oil filter at all. Can anyone clarify this for me. I would like any comments.

Partial flow oil filters were optional on Studebakers until '63 when the full flow filters were standard. After market, maybe even NOS partial flow filters are available, and work well, especially with today's detergent oil.
