According to this, both of my Studebaker V8's are missing one exhaust port on each head.

A couple months ago, I was at some hot rod shop up around Atlanta. The mechanic was working on a big block powered '69 Mustang drag car. It was pretty wild, probably too stout to drive on the street. Anyways, he had custom valve covers with Studebaker scripts on them "to confuse people". Looks like the owner/builder of this race car did the same.

And the distributer is in the wrong place. Since when did a big Ford become a Studebaker?

Since the owner found out NOS scripts for a 59 Lark are cool looking and cheap <GG> Maybe it's an inside joke. Or maybe he's jut a Stude fan.

I prefer to think it's the third guess:)

And the distributer is in the wrong place. Since when did a big Ford become a Studebaker? The valve cover bolt arrangement is from a small Ford, like a 289. I know it could be any cubic inch, but maybe he claims it's a 289 and got tired of everyone telling him he could buy parts at the Studebaker dealership...........;)

maybe the old guys losing his marbles and thinks it's a stude? I could not tell you why they are claiming it to be a studebaker just that they claim it to be? I just took the pictures and have nothing to do with this car. I race a 68 firebird.
