My '63 Avanti on the cover of Avanti Magazine

Yup, that's right, I am quite honored to have this privilege on an award
winning quarterly publication like this. I got permission to host and post
the image of the cover on the car forums to help get AOAI more exposure.
It is also being featured in the magazine for the 3rd part of my Mustang
disc brake conversion. Issue 137 covers the upgrade to the 13" Mustang
Cobra front brakes and upgrade on the rear disc. Issue 133 covered the
front GT Mustang install while issue 134 covered the GT Mustang rear
install.

Got the magazine a couple days ago. Took one look at the cover and said "hey that black car with the oversize discs looks awefully familiar"! The article on the brakes inside looked even more familiar!

Thanks guys, yah its been sitting way too long now. It DOES move, so
its not a "queen", but the old girl feels like she put on some weight.

Headlight rings are on the list, you guys know that list right? Mine
were broken when I got the car, but I was told by Lew he did magic on
the picture to remove cracks in the rubber on the final draft. That's
the "rough" shot that is posted. I have been toying with the idea of
having some CNCed headlight rings made with 4 extra allen head screws.
Then have them black anodized or polished clear. Then there is the
mis-matched from turn signals ..... poor girl's had 'plastic surgery'.

She photographs well.

Yah its a cool feeling, and to think I almost sold the car a few times
over the years, losing interest, felt bad for it sitting - the usual.

Yes it does Firehawk! As a matter of fact, you guys almost bumped me
off the cover! It came down to the wire, I had it, I lost it, I got
it back. Luckily for me, none of the pictures for the Canadian show
fit well on the cover, and unfortunately for you, I got "the shot". It
really captures all that is : Avanti. I took quite a few pictures on
that day, its not easy to get a good shot of a car in "profile", the
best way is in "landscape" format. I think thats why the SDC magazine
is "rotated" 90 degrees. I brought a ladder with me to the location
I chose for the shoot, and luckily it was partly cloudy. I waited for
the sun to get behind a cloud and took as many pictures as I could.
