    Can you say "conglomeration"?

Well... I can, but I'd really rather say something I probably shouldn't, on a family-friendly forum.

It looks like what it says it is.
The ad says the hood and fender aren't correct.

Seems like it to me. Seats and the rest seem to say 'Speedster'. Besides hood and fender, what doesn't belong?

neither is the dash - and maybe the front seat. the tag appears correct for the claim.

OK, don't wanna sound like a "know-it-all" but --- it has a '53-'54 front end, a '56-'61 dash, a speedster roof band, the "diamond" pattern on the seat is not correct for a Speedster AND the firewall plate is not the same color as the rest of the car.

And I see no holes in the side where the "butter knife" might have been previously. All in all, it appears to me SOMEBODY had at least 3 cars they melded into one, one of which MIGHT have been a Speedster.

Plus the guy will be happy to sell you the rest of the parts to make a Speedster. How thrillingly wonderful of him! Hold me back 'cause I just GOTTA bid on this car! NOT!!!!

I don't know what his reserve is, but someone might bid on it just for the '53-'54 front tin. Those parts are getting pricey.

All I can say is that it once was a Studebaker.

hey, I like Johnny Cash. And I would do the same thing to a Speedster if I had one :P (OK, maybe not the Hawk dash, but definitely the 53-54 front clip)

If you look close, there is the Lemon color showing through parts of the primer. Maybe the person was just a Cash admirer! LOL!

It is a pile of parts, but it could be an interesting car put back like it was modified at some point. I'm not sure if the roof band without the side trim would hurt the overall look or not.

In any case, it looks like a fairly solid hardtop to build from, depending on his reserve of course. I thought the diamond pattern upholstery was correct for the Speedster? The ones I have seen have it. Will be interesting to see what it goes for and if it makes reserve.

He has the K-7 cowl tag and says the ser no. is 7155057. If that's a Speedster ser. number, as far as I am concerned, he has a Speedster. I don't care if all he has is a radiator cap, he still has a Speedster.
But if 7155057 is not a Speedster number, then all bets are off.

It's OK 'cause he says he has a friend who says he has a source for the missing parts. No problem.
