Engine number V350218. I think that makes it a 259 CI.
    2bbl. automatic.

Came with every piece of chrome and stainless.
Plus it came with an NOS driver side front fender and a pair of used GT front front fenders with the inners.
But, I'm going to need one tail light and a pair of park light housings. Those pieces are too badly damaged to be saved.

            Actually V350218 makes it a '55 Commander 259, that's it!

The Carb. or Transmission can be whatever was ordered. The H.P. is lower on '55-'56's because of the thick head gasket, netting about 7.5 to 1 Comp. making only 170 H.P. with 2 Brl.

StudeRich, You are a retard. <G>
I did not say the engine number made it a 2 bbl automatic. That's why '2 bbl, automatic' is on a separate line of text.

Got a new (to me) '55 Cp. today

The glove box looks like the car came off the SB assy. line no more than two years ago.
Here's what the label on the bottom of the glove box looks like.

Aside from the two tone paint and the automatic tranny, this was a super cheap Commander. Note the block off's for the heater, defroster, radio, cigar lighter and clock.
Someone did, at some point in time, install a defroster with an orignial water control valve.

Well...I am happy for you getting the car. On the other hand, I was a little disappointed when I read where you got all the pieces. I was already scheming to work up a trade for some chrome work. Good luck with it anyway.

It didn't take much moola to get this car.
I did not make an offer on the car, the owner told me how much he wanted for it (and the three extra front fenders) and I paid him.
For all of it, I paid what I think the one NOS fender is worth.
BTW, there may be an NOS passenger front fender (included with the deal) if the guy can locate it , I hope he finds it.

                              I just cranked it up.
Good oil pressure. 35 pounds idling, 45 pounds at about 2000 RPM.
No coolant in it, I couldn't run it long.
Burned about a pint of gas and shut it down.
                              Skipping.
I think maybe a valve is sticking.
