I actually do like those 56 Ramblers and I looked at this one on eBay, but the more I looked, I got very scarred. There is way too much work to do on this one, not to mention if it is cobbled up to get the SBC in there.

The only way I would think of buying a Rambler is if it was in the condition that this one is in. I had to keep myself from bidding on it[]

I actually do like those 56 Ramblers and I looked at this one on eBay, but the more I looked, I got very scarred. There is way too much work to do on this one, not to mention if it is cobbled up to get the SBC in there.

BTW, this wagon on ebay - I've seen BETTER examples in junkyards out here. Much better!

I've a friend who has one of these in pink and silver. The upholstry has a tooled saddle leather look to it. It's dried out and very brittle. Still, the rest of the car is in excellent shape, except for the missing engine and tranny, and there isn't a scratch or dent on it anywhere. Ray keeps saying he's going to put a shove-it-or-leave-it under the hood someday.

The one mentioned here might make someone a good parts car...[8)]

That hardtop is geooooooorgeous! It's also the same colour as Ray's wagon.
