As Bob Palma knows. this picture was taken by Tom Lawlis at a Goodguys meet in Indianapolis.
I liked the picture; it captures the electric atmosphere as the nervous driver, entire pit crew, and car owner all wait in the staging lane for the battle.
I think the scanning and reducing process necessary to post it took away some quality of Tom's print. I also removed a head that was sticking above the red coupe.

I understand the Chicken Hawk was powered by an Avanti engine. Do you soppose the Avanti will be powered by 1951 232 V8? Wouldn't that be COOL? NTNeil Thornton
