That looks like the "Famous Ted Harbit" sitting on the front bumper of the "Chickenhawk"

I own a right side chunk of the right side grill of that car. I may attach it to my Pontiac daily driver to add some class to it.

I always liked that photo of Ted. Very cool.

I think Ted should build a 'Chicken Hawk Too' to replace the original. Does anyone else agree?

He's been working on the "Son of Chicken Hawk" for a few years now. It's "just" an Avanti tho.

As Bob Palma knows. this picture was taken by Tom Lawlis at a Goodguys meet in Indianapolis.

I liked the picture; it captures the electric atmosphere as the nervous driver, entire pit crew, and car owner all wait in the staging lane for the battle.

I think the scanning and reducing process necessary to post it took away some quality of Tom's print. I also removed a head that was sticking above the red coupe.

I understand the Chicken Hawk was powered by an Avanti engine. Do you soppose the Avanti will be powered by 1951 232 V8? Wouldn't that be COOL? NT

I'm sure Ted would love to build another Chicken Hawk, all it takes is "time and money" neither of which Ted has at his disposal. No offence Ted.

I am getting the negative from Tom to have a poster made (undecided on size).
If Tom and Ted don't object I will have some more copies made.
If I do and sell them -- the proceeds will go towards Ted building his new car.
