I have received a couple of requests for copies of the ten Stainless Restoration tips that were on the studebakerdriversclub.com home site under the Tech Tips section.
Mr Shaw says that they should be restored in due course in Tech Tips after they take care of more pressing matters involved with the forum rebirth.
No problem. We can't make an omelet without breaking eggs. We can't do the long jump without getting sand in our shorts. We can't break wind without taking a chance....
I found the tips and they are listed below. I don't know how to list them as direct links so users will have to copy and paste them into the address bar. Hmm, when I went to "Preview Post" they came up blue links that work -- I got lucky.
They are a little worse for wear because of the changeover, probably because of the length of some. Some large sections have disappeared . One example is the buffing instructions for wheelcovers. I think that was in section #9.
If I get ambitious sometime I may redo them into something that looks more "official". I also have a little more info that could be added.
If someone has a copy of the complete previous text I could use it. I never bothered to save them at the time. I think I still have most of the pictures that were used.
In the meantime, here they are: in reverse order. Originally, I tried to start simple and not discourage anyone with the prospect of buying a buffer and such.
