In my shop manual, in the engine section, there is no information on the 289. Is this info on the 289 missing or just not available. If anyone knows where I can get this info I would greatly appresicate it. Thanks in advance.

My shop manual is a 62 to 64 Shop Manual. It covers the 259-289 v8s together in the fifth section of Group III. The jet thrust v8 is listed separately in the sixth section of Group III. -
There are no engine procedures that I can think of that differ between the 259 & 289. Only the specs like: stroke and cubic inches are different because the only 2 parts that are different, are Crankshaft and Pistons.
