Safeway and Giant have been gone from Richmond for 20 years, but I would recognize that anywhere.

        Poor guy, from his listing:

Q: Safeway grocery store logo. Definitely NOT a Studebaker sign. Hope the info helps. Jeff

        A: It does, thank you

Q: I'm not sure how you plan to authenticate this sign. It's not a Studebaker sign. It's from a Safeway supermarket. The age is 1960s.
        Aug-02-06
A: I don't think I will, I'm starting to figure that out. Thanks for the comment.

Q: What documentation do you have to prove that this is a studebaker sign? Please advise. Thank you
        Aug-02-06
        A: Nothin, Thanks

Q: Looks like the sign on my Safeway food store, never seen a Studebaker sign like that.
        Aug-02-06
        A: Got it, Thank you

Q: Are you sure? This looks like a Safeway (grocery store) sign. They still use this sign today.
        Aug-02-06
A: Oh that's funny. If it is, I got took! Can someone let me know for sure, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

          JDP,

Maybe you can snatch one off of a Giant food store and convince the guy it is a super rare one off of a Graham dealership back in the '30's!

            More from his revised listing:

"This is a wonderful Porcelain Studebaker sign probably from the 1930's or 1940's. No it's NOT! It is a Safeway sign from Texas in the early 1960s. I got duped on this sign because I didn't know any better. Thanks to everybody for helping me straighten this out. I did not mean to intentionally misrepresent this item. I suppose a grocery store sign is worth considerably less than a car dealership sign, so I have adjusted the price. Thanks again to everybody.

It has rubber gromets in the three of the four mounting holes and is 13 1/2" round. Condition is fantastic and it is guaranteed authentic..........authentic grocery store. Thank you. "
