According to my calculations, I now own approximately .2969% of all the 1958 Packard 58l J8's ever built! Try and say that about your Xhevy Pickup or whatever, any year. Paid too much for it, so don't ask. I know I won't be able to flip this car asap, like some of our illustrious frequent flyers do. But, this car is a serendipitous find, because it has the good parts my first car lacks, plus an AM Wonderbar and rear-seat speaker control. In fact, I'll use the body shell as the starting point, due to less rust in hard to fix areas.. It apparently had an engine change to a later Stude V8. There is a Delco window distributor in it, which will get used in my 289 +.080. that I'm building. It is that deep maroon color, which really does the body style justice. The usual 50's Pastels don't work on the Packardbakers too well, I don't think. So, believe I'll go original Maroon, and paint the fins and roof black or vice versa, with the all-vinyl interior the same. Plus, 3 speed stick/overdrive. Pulled into a gas station while trailering it home just 20 miles, and was interviewed twice about it. 58's are Classics, too! [}:)]

Well, since I don't have the tech capabilities to post photos here(due to spending every spare dime on the car), maybe I can send a couple photos to MBStude, and he can post 'em for me.

Well, Studefreak--if I send you the photos, can you just post them in your head, for the time being?

I just knew you'd ask that, Guido! FYI, I towed on behind an antique '77 Xhevy 1/2 ton on a 18' flatbed double axle utility trailer.
