I just got around to checking the South Dakota auction from a prior post. In addition to the Packards mentioned, there is also a rare 1945 M-15 with the C-9 military style cab. This differs from the civilian C-2 cab in that it has the swing out windshield, top mounted wipers, steel door panels and metal glove box. They only built 4000 of these and most are gone. Frank Drumheller has started a registry and only has about 10 listed.

Also a nice '51 2R5 and a '51 2R6.

John,

I had a C-9 that was sold at auction just a few miles from me. A friend of mine bought it for $20, but it was rough after sitting in a hedge row for 30 years. It had a wooden flatbed on it and when the wrecker came to move it, the bed cracked in half and he couldn't get it hauled. My buddy took a few parts off it and told me to come get it with my rollback. I offered to haul it for him, but he said he had what he wanted.

I ended up getting $150 for it and gave him $50 of what I got. It is now living in Iowa with 3 others.

That's good, another Studebaker preserved. Must have been awkward when the bed broke, at least you helped him out and gave him $50, you're a good fellow Guido.:)
