Love it!

I really like the maroon wheels with the grey body. Also the dash is beautiful [8D]

Get that brand X out of the garage and fill it with that Stude :D

The car is gorgeous Bob. I'm with Dick, I really like the maroon wheels with the grey. Mebbe just a bit wider whitewall would look more "50's"? Thanks a million for the pictures.

Sweet! Looks like a highly optioned car with the spot light, fog lights, sun visor, gravel shields, clock etc. Back in the day she was a "cream puff".
Don't you love looking out those rear windows?

Really nice car! Bullet nose Starlight coupe hard to beat! You'll get lots of attention and have tons of fun driving it! I'd say good luck but it looks like you allready have it![8D]

Hey Bob,

What a beauty!

How did you find this one, and how did you pull off the deal?
You must be quite a negotiator. We'll be watching for details once you get back to earth.

Bob, that is a gorgeous Champion. Where did you find it?

Judging by the skyline in the pics, you could be in Delta or Burnaby. Am I close? (raised in Vancouver)

Thanks for the comments guys, I knew you would enjoy seeing this one.... I can't stop staring at it myself.....

Gord..... a little off... about 650 miles north of Vancouver....

Bought it off a local guy. He lives about 3 blocks from my house. I knew the car was there..... I was driving by almost every day from work, and for about the past three years, I would tell myself, I gotta stop in a visit this guy one day... well, the other day, I finally stopped and knocked on the door.

started talking about the car and of course I asked if he might be interested in parting with it.... and got a positive... I mentioned I had a flatfender jeep and would he be interested in a trade? after he saw the jeep, the deal was done....

one 1948 CJ2A + $2500 = one 1950 Studebaker

he lost interest in the car, I lost interest in the jeep.....

I'm perfectly happy with the deal....

3 issues to deal with at the moment.... he put in a new front rubber motor mount, which is too thick, causing the the fan to touch the top rad outlet and one part of the clutch linkage needs a new piece....
and drivers side window mechanism needs attention(as in window rolls up and down, but needs assistance)

to me, these are minor problems, as the rest of the car is in such good shape.

looks like every piece of chrome on the car is in good shape, nothing missing.

paint is ok, a few spots cracking and chipping... it wouldn't bother me in the least to put it in a car show.... I'll have to do a little research and find out when the car was restored....

interior complete, a little faded and stained here and there..... nothing that worries me...

all in all, it's a project that I'm happy to own!

Bob. You do have a Gem there. Have you named her yet?
Thanks for sharing the pix. Suspect many here had visions
of what you brought home, nice to see that you have scored big time.
Can understand your enthusiasm and the wide smile you for sure are displaying. :)
Those clouds shown do not appear cumulus... as mentioned--get her in the garage. <grin>

Congratulations! That is a beautiful car. If it has flaws, the pix sure don't show it! Love the spotlights. And the dash looks pristine!

:) Very nice indeed, Bob. A real sweetheart. [:I] LOVE the windlace right at the drivers door; man, that is nice.

What is the little orangish gizmo that looks to be through the dash immediately to the left of the left-side guage pair? [?]

Good score. :D BP

Nice! Those cars look even better now than they did back in their day. Guess it is because the new stuff is so boring to look at...

Indeed it would, I've seen ads where they say everything is included ie all customs ex/import sea transport and delivery - somewhere around AUD$3000 if I recall correctly thats USD$2262.02, not bad I suppose.

Have seen a car like that here in those colors and it looked beautiful,I'm sure someone with the right skills can make a great car out of it. :D

Hi Bob

I haven't traced out that orange gizmo yet.... is it a fog light indicator? signal lights? I haven't got a battery in her yet....
