  • Needed: 55 Speedster parts

Some friends of mine are looking for some stuff for their recently aquired Speedster.
    From my email:
"I need the Spartan Horn-lo and the bugle horn that goes in the middle. The bugle horn is about 12 inches long. The Speedster had three horns. I also need some fog lights. The Speedster is 6 volt. It is amber in color. There seem to be several numbers. 4015 A or AC1384."

IF anyone has any of these parts or has a good lead, please let me know. BTW, these parts are going on a 1st place trophy winner, so no junk.
    My email is mbstude@yahoo.com
    Thanks!!!

That center Speedster horn is one RARE puppy.

    Miscreant at large.

I've never even known about it. What's so special about it?
If one is available, I'm sure these guys will pay the price.

I found a used one at the South Bend meet after looking for a year, $125 and glad to pay it. It's a long trumpet horn.

Is that the same one used on 57 Golden Hawks?
That one you sold me had three horns JP,one was the long trumpet type. They sure sounded nice.

I have no idea why it had 3 horns, I never noticed.

Are you sure it's a long trumpet ? It is a trumpet but I think it's short.

I forgot exactly how long it is, maybe 10 inches.

That is about right. When you said long, I right away thought about the long ones that used to be under the hoods.

Here's a picture from the 1955 Accessories brochure. They sure didn't try to sell these. The only place I find a number is in the parts catalog. I guess it's AC-2705, called a 'center horn'.
