  • A Flight of Hawks

I think I've got this picture business figured out now so here's a pic of our white 1963 GT Hawk keeping good company at the car show in Shedden, Ontario on Sunday 11 June, 2006. Sunny day, nice breeze, met some great Studebaker folk and won the 50-50 draw - doesn't get much better!

Hey Steve - thanks. I've learned something today! A cast of Hawks. I guess Studebaker figured Flight Hawk would fly but Cast Hawk wouldn't.
          Cheers, HUB
PS - Here's the entire cast from the other angle. [8D]

            STUPID Question Alert!!!

            I don't know a lot about GTs...
Do they all have the same tailights...
the middle car looks different from the white one...or is it just the photo/my eyes?

63's had painted bezels, 62's had chrome,(middle car) I think... Not sure about 64's.

J Boyle; If you are comparing details of GT's the white one is missing the black stripe on the bottom of the decklid overlay, or it has a '62 panel, they also are different -'62's have depressed Stude. Hawk lettering and '63's have larger raised lettering. Also the right & left air scoops (Side Grilles) are chromed on '62 Canadian only GT's, simular looking to '56-'61 Hawks !!

                  Rich.

Some of you have an eagle eye for Hawks! Yes, our white '63 sports a '62 rear panel. The black '62 had correct trim I believe with the exception of the outside rearview mirrors while the red '63 had chrome bezel tail lights from a '62.
AS for myself, I have to say I liked the look of the '62 Hawks with their extra chrome fore and aft.
If anyone has a line on a good rear panel for a 1962 with the black strip on the bottom edge, which would be correct for our car, I'm interested.

You may have mistyped. I would image that you are looking for a rear panel for a 1963, not a "1962."

Thanks for catching the typo Gary - yes I meant to say I'm looking for the correct'63 panel with black strip at the bottom[:I]. Getting late when I can't keep my 2's and 3's straight! Better hit the sack!
