Thank you for the kind comment. If it wasn't for the rodents the interior would have cleaned up nice as well. The seats were always covered but that didn't protect them from the rats.

Somebody was telling me that it looked pretty nice and I said, "yeah but it still smells bad". They replied. "You'd smell bad too if you had been sitting around for 25 years".

In addition to your supurb detailing job, the wide whites really make it "pop" [8D]

That's a beautiful car Tom, you are reasonably close to where I am located, I am in Lemoore CA. I know where there are a few Studebakers around here that are sitting in similar situations as yours was. Where did that one come from? Email me if you ever want to talk cars.

A possible solution for the odor is to spray the car with "Febreze" a product from Procter & Gamble. It's quite a pleasant smell and removes odors, in any case it's probably on sale at Wal-Mart

Thank you for the tip John. I used some "Febreze" automotive (I don't know if that's different from the household formulation) and it took the edge off pretty good. I was told by an automotive interior guy that the smell will NEVER go away. Of course, that's not going to keep me from trying with 2 or 3 bottles of Febreze.

It's good to hear there are some Studebakers (and Studebaker fans) down under. It's better than having them in Kiwi land.
