The ones I've found have been under the lower, back seat cushions (usually a green carbon copy), but that's NOT a hard, fast rule. You can order a copy of the build sheet for YOUR car from the Studebaker Museum. They have access to most of the postwar build sheet files.

The probability of finding one of them at this late date is about the same as finding a legible, intact paint color sticker under the glove box. BPWe've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

Miracles happen! The paint sticker on my 33 Rockne is still as clear and legible as the day it was printed.Brad Johnson,

Bob,
I couple years ago I had a 1947 Commander Regal 2 door sedan. It ran, but was weathered and needed complete restoration. Believe it or not, the paint code sticker WAS still on the underside of the tattered glove box!"Madness...is the exception in individuals, but the rule in groups" - Nietzsche.

I just removed a front seat from a 1960 Lark, and the remainder of the build sheet and not much of it was under the rubber mat and insulation, under the driver's seat and stuck to the painted floor...brad

Bob, I have found that if a Studebaker still has its original paint code label, it is almost always still legible. In other words, I think that the printing was better than the glue.
