The cheap Avanti is running for the first time since the P.O. took it apart in 1978. Good oil pressure, no funny sounds, no smokeing. The wheels go round and round on the jack stands, moving on to get some brakes tomorrow. Life is good.

No need for a atta boy, just excited to bring another one back to life. I even was on the phone with Dave when I first fired it, than called N8 to gloat. It always amazes me when a Studebaker fires right up after 20-30 years. I just rebuilt the carb, tossed the engine back in and rooooom, rooooom <g>

Sounded good over the phone, too! I was standing next to an Avanti in Stillwater, trying to help the owner track down some parts... thus the call to Avanti John.
