This is right near me; if anyone's seriously interested, I'd be glad to look at it in person for you! I have very good general automotive knowledge; plus I can take pics of anything you like and send them!

I'll be in Carlisle this weekend- but could go next week...

My fee is: the satisfaction if being able to help out a fellow Stude lover :D

That looks like the one I bought last month, about the same general condition, except for the 6. Here is a link to some photos:

Coincidently I'm heading out this morning with my dad and brother to drive it back from Gorham, NH (about 2-1/2 hours), hopefully everything will go well. I'll post some photos of the trip when I get back.

I received a call from an out of state non-Studebaker person about this car. I told him the things to look for and advised him about the early OHV six engine relative to problems and negative impact on saleability and value. I recommended that he drive the car to see how he felt about the 170 cubic inch engine in a heavy convertible. It may be a good car for what he was looking for. I just wanted him to go forward armed with a little more information. I don't have contact information for him otherwise I could put him in contact with bams50 for his generous offer. I would hate to try and count the cars that I have looked at for others. It is usually a fun experience without the stress of spending your own money.
