will they fit?

Will the chrome bows that help hold the headliner in a GT hawk fit in a 63 Daytona HT? If so, I can get a set from a parts car and it sure would look good and help the heasliner go in easier.

I don't think so, besides, they make it harder to install a headliner. (Just finished a GT Hawk.)

Matt, you need to have the headliner installed perfectly, then add the bows for trim. It's just a extra step and a bitch to find the mounting holes under the material.

Thanks for the tip JP. I think I'll put thwm in anyways, i think it really adds to the looks of the car. If they'll fit that is... I did measure, and the roof is the same length.

I used GT Hawk bows in my 64 Cruiser. Not for good looks, but rather because I had to. Its successfully been that way for 20 years or so.

The headliner was separating at the seams, and at least once, it blew down at highway speeds; it did not come out of the car, just reversed the hidden bows, kinda like reversing an umbrella on a windy day.

Anyway, if you find yourself needing to hand sew separated seams, without taking down the existing headliner, those GT bows are a good way to hide your stitches (and absolutely eliminate blowdown).

The hassel/risk is getting the screws successfully into the not-visible metal behind the fabric. Also, since they are not fastened to the fabric, I occasionally find a bow starting to rotate forward or backward.

Best to start with several bows (more that one GT's worth) so you can choose ones that best fit. You may find you'd like to use the same size more than once. Also, I don't think you'll find one that is correct for the seam closest to the windshield.
