  • I need an upholstery source ??

Where do I find NOS or new that is close, cloth and vinyl, for a 2 door 1960 Lark, faded upholstery appears to be medium brown vinyl and tan mottled cloth flat and nothing fancy. I have an upholstery shop and I only need the yard goods...Thanks...BRAD

I don't know about NOS, but Phantom Auto Works could probably get pretty close to it.

Try SMS Auto Fabrics (www.smsautofabrics.com) they have many NOS Studebaker cloths and vinyls. Also, Phantom Auto Works as mentioned can make you a new interior of reproduction or NOS materials. And their workmanship and quality is first class, I have heard. The consensus of those on this forum seems to be that Phantom is the best for accurate restorations, however I have also heard many good reviews of interior materials sold by member John Poulos at Stude.com.

I only have modern fabrics and vinyls, some are close, but seldom just sell material since it's over half the cost of the covers done and ready to install. Here's a typical 60's Lark cover:

About $200-$225, raw material is $30 a running yard/54 inches wide.

Those seats look good! I wish I had known about those when I did mine.
