Well, as one who has attended the re-enactment of the battle of Gettysberg I will tell you that it was so hot I could not breathe..I will be another who will not attend...Sept would have been the correct time...Good luck to all who attend...make sure there are plenty of EMS trucks around...heat stroke will be a concern:([V]

Having the meet before school starts enables folks to bring the kids. We do want to encourage the future of SDC.

Hosting the meet here is simply our way of apologizing for the manner in which the brutal industrial North soiled the gentlemanly agricultural South.

Hear tell the last International Meet in Gettysburg, 1980 hosted 1032 Studebakers on site. That was a four day meet July 9-12. Look for a bigger turnout in 2008.[:p]

Anyone with kids that young usually don't have enough seniority where they work to get prime-time July/August vacations. In September and early October, the little dears can miss a day or two without academic disaster-- knowing they're 'getting out' makes the trip even better for them.
I'll make my reservations and watch the forecast; if it's over 85-no way, I'll cancel.

Wow, this is terrific. 2007 in South Bend and 2008 in Gettysberg. Doesn't get much better. I'll have to shine up the Stude.
