  • Win a Stude truck! So. GA Chapter raffle ends 4/1

Wayne Lee of the South Georgia Chapter asked if I'd mention their truck project and raffle. Here's what Wayne said:

"Our chapter has been working on a 1951 Studebaker flatbed truck (with dump) for the last 3 years fixing it up and making it serviceable. We are now selling raffle tickets at $2 each for a chance to win this truck. We will raffle it off at the Georgia State Meet on April 1st, 2006. More details and pictures are available on our Chapter web site at www.georgiastudebaker.com."

That's our shop in the background by the way. BUY TICKETS! Would make an excellent car hauler for your Triumph Spitfire or your MGB. This is a rock solid truck, hardly any rust anywhere. It had no dents either. Engine purrs like a kitten too! (245 Big Six). And the dump works like a charm!

Yeah, it's a very nice old truck. We drove it across the state and back, and the only trouble is that we blew an old oil line. That's been replaced now. It's perdy on the inside too!

Nice pictures, Matt. I hope it's won by one of the Georgia guys that has worked so hard on it (but I should buy some tickets anyway).

I have bought the cardboard headliner kit for my C-cab, but haven't gotten around to installing it yet. I seems likely to crease in those back upright pieces behind the door opening, since they need to bend 90 degrees. Did you guys have any trouble with that, or is there a trick I need to know?

This one creased at the top by the driver's door. All I can say is good luck! I kinda hope I win it so that I can trade my grandad out of his 55 P/U,[] which has a 224 in it. He wants this thing bad, to use it in his business.
