  • REVISED FORUM POLICIES

OK, time for a big atta-boy to our web master, the SDC board and a little added one for the forum members. We discussed a issue, the Club listened and responded in a timely manner. The fact that the new guidelines are more fair then I could have hoped for is just icing on thae cake. Thanks again to all concerned.

I sent off a flame-o-gram when the initial policy was unleashed and I sent a thank you for this one. As I said in the note, it's an excellent compromise.

The 'atta-boy' is definitely in order! Thanks to everyone here for making a reasoned argument, and to the Board for a timely and accommodating response...

I am not currently on the SDC Board, but I was asked for my input on this item because I participate in the SDC Forum (3rd most posts). I believe that the Board's resulting rules are more than fair. From my experience, the SDC Board does take all sides into consideration on an item. It is just impossible to please everyone when you are dealing with more than 12K families.

As I posted on the newsgroup, I think that this was an excellent compromise that will discourage commercial advertising but still allow members to trade occasional cars and parts, which is I believe what should happen. I think it was a great decision personally.
