Nice Hawk you have Mr Biggs, My 65 G.T. Hawk prototype arrived From Jay's place yesterday. I will post pics once I get a new camera. I was taking shots of the engine to show you the 8 cyllinder engine when I was disrupted by a phone call. I placed the camera atop the air cleaner. After the phone call I inadvertently closed the hood on the Hawk and you can just about imagine what happened. The hood is ok but the camera sustained quite a bit of superficial damage. Do you suppose If I replace the batteries it may still work? jimmijim P.S. Nice to know that there are quite a lot of Stude people that still retain a sense of humor. As far as me seeking professional help as suggested by someone. Well, the last time I seeked out professional help, I went to Pap Boys. I paid a professional fee but the help was not all that professional. I don't think. Seems as my daughter was driving her car with the newly installed tires. The right front wheel came away from the car. 60 mph. no less. I think I will seek unprofessional help instead. Mr. Quinn did put us in the know about the Studillac. Kudos to him. He does seem to be a fountain of information. Very knowle_____ {knows his chit} Wouldn't you agree. jimmijim P.S. and finally. Did someone really die due to the last boring discussion on the Studillac? jimmijim

I have a biz trip scheduled for Pittsburgh in a few weeks..
I'd love to stop by and snap off a few dozen pic's of your '65 GT Hawk. Since you are only a few miles west of Pittsburgh, let me know when a good time is to stop by.

Humor is great, to a point. We once had a fellow on the Studebaker News Group that would often post a humorous answer to a serious question by a newbie and lead him down the wrong road. We'd then spend half a day explaining the guy was pulling his leg. .

John, I would not post humorously I.M.O.H.O. if I thought I be taken seriously. Also, there is absoluely no malfeasance intended for you or anybody else posted by me. If however, I feel that someone has been led astray by one of my posts, I will for sure {if I observe it has been taken out of context}{misconstrued conception} lead them back on to the right path. If I Know it. And if'in someone doesn't catch it b'fore me. I monitor the topics closely when I post and can become somewhat serious at times. I know a whole bunch about the Studillac thanks to Richad Quinn and others. I've memorized the details so as to be a walking talking fountain of information on the subject. jimmijimsigpicAnything worth doing deserves your best shot. Do it right the first time. Jeff, you are most welcome to stop by and have a look see of my Hawk. However, I must infom you that I can not allow you to take pictures of it for fear of them being copied and possibly ending up on somebodys calendar not associated with the club.. I have been in contact with Steve Grant on this subject. Steve has agreed to pay me a fee for using a photo of it on his next offering. Right Steve? I'm going to donate the proceeds to the S.T.S.F.F.A.T.S.N.A. Save The Studebaker Foundation For All To See North American
Chapter. I'm sure you can appreciate my concern. When you come to my area on your next business trip you are most welcome to stop by. Hopefully I and the car will be here as it is quite in demand for touring purposes. Much like the Bat Mobile that I own. Give me a call when you are in the area. 304-374-6131 We could possibly go out for a little recreation. Do you shoot pool or do you just shoot the chit. jimmijim P.S. I've got a dump truck load of 2 barrel intakes available. Must take all. Truck too. It just needs a patch. Like over the whole thing. jimmijimsigpicAnything worth doing deserves your best shot. Aw schi_ Jeff. I wish I had read your post earlier than the phone call I received this morning. Seems that a fellow from California by the name of Ed Cholakian wanted to adapt these manifolds for use on the early Caddy V8's. He remarked that many of his customers were wanting to retrofit their engines with Stromberg 97's. Better gas mileage or something like that he said. He bought the whole truck and load. They were piled 6 high and 10 deep. 'Bout 5 rows of them. Like 300 give or take a few. Not one carb. If you have some carbs you don't need and want to get rid of I could hook you up with him. jimmijim P.S. He paid me more per each one than what your are getting for your altered ones. Not bad eh. Not quite enough to weasel you out of your Coupe Express but surely enough to buy another proto. If and when you come to my area give me a call and we can get together. 304-723-5253 or cell phone 304 374 6131 If you,re a telemarketer, don't call. jimmijim Nice talkin to you. Sorry about your missed opportunity.sigpicAnything worth doing deserves your best shot. Do it right the first time. jimmijim,
I'm somewhat confused by one of your statements. I never ofered to pay you for photos of your car for the calendar. I would be glad to use it but I don't pay for photos. I use the photo, give a free calendar and offer a discount of extra calendars. I don't even recall having a conversation with you about the car and when I heard of this post it was the first I had heard you had such a car.

BTW, I'm enjoying your 2006 calendar! Did you happen to see my post a few weeks ago, recommending you adopt the method used by this radio station's calendar I came across:http://www.studebakerdriversclub.com...?TOPIC_ID=2930
Basically, it's human beauties dressed in classic period attire,
adorning the automotive beauties (dressed with their classic period tires).

Dave,
I would never ask anyone to pay me to use their Studebaker in the calendar.... But for you I'll make an exception....
Dillocrafter, Nice calendar wnd website... I hadn't seen the post before. I use what people send in. If anyone wants to send photos like that I'ld be glad to use them.
