Calling All Stude Pros

Just bought a 28 Commander with the Big 6. I'm going to need some help from the pros out there.

Here's what I know:
Engine and chassis numbers:

serial #: 4081414
Firewal #: EW-W 22958
Bottom of the engine block: G 6 17
Head #: G622 112588-2

This car has been stored for 30 years! Got the engine running. Sounds great. Car will need a complete restoration but is pretty complete. I do need a few parts so anyone can help, it would be appreciated.

Any information about what I've got here would be welcome. Mainly like to know more about the engine and trans. Things like HP, top speed, anything I should look for or modify.

Also has manual brakes. Inside pads up front and outside shoes in the rear. Can I get parts to rebuild all of the brakes?

Like I said anything that would be helpful.

Yes, we're Studebaker folks here, but..... I can't recall any of us having a Stude of this vintage. This forum focuses mostly on post-WWII Studebakers.

Don't apologize, and don't become discouraged! We are glad to hear and learn about ANY studebaker! It's not that the group intends not to be helpful with the pre-war Studes, it's just that the current make-up the group is not well represented by pre-war Stude guys. We all would like to see that change, and it might as well start with you!

In the mean time, the best we can do is to refer you to a place where you can get the answers you need. Let us know about your car... we enjoy pictures and details about ANY Stude/Stude project!

Well, I didn't mean to sound as tho I was chasing Rick somewhere else. I confess, I THOUGHT that the ASC's site had a running forum where questions could be posted. I subsequently went and looked myself and see that that's not the case! But I see they DO have a button to click to send Dick Quinn an E-mail. That would get you answers in a hurry!
