Speedometer Adapter

Hello, I just purchased an NOS 675028 Speedometer adapter. Can some one explain how I can use or list other application for it's uses? I wanted to use it on my 49 truck. I will run a stude 289 and 200R4 automatic trans. Please advise. Roy

That part is used only on larger trucks with a two-speed rear axle. It changes the reading of the speedometer so that it remains accurate when you change the ratio of the rear axle.
