  • '63 Hawk wiper switch hookup

I took the wiper switch out of my '63 Hawk to rebuild it after carefully recording what wires went where, and then promptly lost the drawing. Although the wiring diagram in the manual is correct, the wirelist in the manual is for earlier years and doesn't call out the correct wire numbers and colors. There are five wires, and five terminals on the switch. I know that white/black is ignition switched power. Can anyone tell me how the other four hook up? Thanks!

Mike, I just went through this with a 12v four-wire motor I bought, replacing a 3-wire 6v wiper motor. A helpful site is Bob Johnstone's at http://patriot.net/~jonroq/rjavII.html and although it's primarily for Avanti applications, there are enough similarities common to the later Studes. Scroll down for wiper info.

Well, I managed to figure it out: White/Black to BAT side of circuit breaker; Blue to 'A' Yellow to 'B'; Red to 'C'; Black to 'D'. Works a treat.
