  • Tire size / 1950 Starlight Champion

I want change out my 6:40 x 15 bias tires to belted radials using my existing rims. I'm thinking, maybe, P195/75R15 or P205/75R15. Yes, I've heard that radials may not be a good idea on these old rims but the way I drive I don't think it's an issue.
The new tires will go on my 1950 Champion Starlight.
    Will they fit? Clearance, etc?

I put 205/75R15's on the original rims of my 50 Champion and have had no problems at all.

You'll thank yourself for making the change when you experience the change in handling.

        Thanks Gerry.

Do you know if I can get wide white walls (radial) in that size for under $100 each?

If you can find a reputable source of wide whitewall radials for under a $100 each, I wanna know about it!

I don't know of anything under $100 either. I found the best deal and the easiest people to work with at Diamond Back. In the neighborhood of $125 ea. IIRC.
