I agree with Dave, it very, very, very rare find.....IS A BEAUTIFUL CAR, GREAT BONES FOR THE RESTORATION TYPE..........and I hope someone comes along with good intentions.....Read the other posts if you wanna hear the story, its really a good one......Thank you Dave Lester for all the information, and for helping us to discover a truely rare car and saving it from my husbands torch......I talked him into listing the car for someone to do a proper restore instead of chopping the heck out of it....when he pulled it back to bare metal and found no rust, and that incredible work, we were happy I found you all here......thanks again. Hope the story of the evasive '53 continues!!!! Anyway, listed here:

Since you didn't put a reserve with the listing, my first bid took down your $6k BIN. The car is pretty neat and special, but my guess it will sell for well under your original $6k BIN and under the $7k you have it listed for locally.

Shoot, Dave Lester is now short one Studebaker and NEEDS this one back [}:)].

Well, I bid as far as my meger wallet would allow. The good part was heading back to Michigan the first weekend in April. I guess I don't have to cancel my plain ticket [:o)].

It is a neat car, and IMHO deserves to be refurbished as-is.

You da man, Dave [}:)] [8D]

Dave, I'm on your side too, that's why I got him to list it before he gets bored one night and chop those fenders off, thanks for the coupe suggestion, I'll add it......
