Anyone got some good engine bay detail pictures of a '63 +/- lark with a 6cyl. looking get correct placement and color of items for the '63 Daytona conv. we're working on.

Well almost. the hoses should have wire spring type clamps on them to be 100% show correct. All depends on how correct you are trying to get :)

Ask JDP about those spring clamps :)

You mean when the top one blew off the radiator hoses at the drag strip taking out all the belts, or you damn near setting the car on fire while helping me fix it ?[8D]

It was on my GT Hawk that was detailed for the Charlotte International meet, car here:

At the end of the drag strip I heard a bang and saw lots of steam. When I pulled back in the pit, we found the upper hose had blown off the show correct wire clamp, taking out the belts. While N8 was leaning under the hood working on the car he must have nicked the wiring harness with one of the hold down clamps letting all the smoke out of the harness. We diconnected the harness, hot wired the car and drove to a friends shop where we unwrapped the harness, did some spliceing and heat shrinking and drove back to MD, end of story.

Inquiring minds want to know how you managed to obtain NOS Studebaker smoke to put back into the wiring harness?

They had some cheap up here when the old EMF plant caught fire and burned... [xx(]
