  • Was my Lark built in South Bend?

Hello, I am a new Stude owner. 1962 Lark 2 door sedan. The vin is 62S42753. Does the S stand for South Bend? I hope!! Can any body help me with this..Thanks!![?]

The S stands for Six Cylinder. If it said 62SC42753 - that would indicate a car from the Canadian plant. Since it's only S - yes - South Bend built.
The other outlying plant that was in Los Angeles had closed down at the end of the '56 model year.

Now join SDC (if you haven't already) and get that Lark ready for the 2007 meet which will be in South Bend.
Tell us more about your Lark and how you came to own it. Is it a driver or is it a project. We'd like to hear.
