Just talked to Joe on the phone and they took 11th in the rookie class for today. The car is doing great and they are having a total blast. He says in Denver they are planning on doing a parking lot clutch replacement. He and his dad are already talking about making the great race a yearly event for them and how they plan on digging up some offenhauser hop up parts for car before next year.
One of the other Studebakers dropped out with generator problems a couple days ago, despite being encouraged to run with a freshly charged battery each morning until they could get the generator rebuilt or replaced.
