    From the Studebaker News Group:

Martin Michigan Dragstrip ---- Factory stock class

Ted Harbit whipped a 72(?) Trans AM by virtue of cutting two very good lights on
the pro tree. Ted drove the R2 Stude Tomato. He said his lights were
"lucky".................He always seems to be lucky.

Doug Tjakes whipped a 67 Olds 455 with his R2 63 GT Hawk.

Peter Sant went home disappointed by having to make solo runs for his wins as his opponent broke and couldn't run. Pete drove his R2 63 Avanti.

I have pics and just need to find one of those sites where they can be accessed as I can't post on the NG.

The stock appearing classes were fun to watch. Fastest time was a Vette with a 10.96 in the quarter mile.

Tech inspection was loose and in some cases the hood wasn't even raised. There is no money involved so nobody had much anxiety about the tech.

Lotsa beautiful vehicles and the dragstrip facility is the newest and best around.
