Know it? I've sold parts to make it whole! :D Fact is, the guy that's selling it was supposed to come out here and get a temp sender for this car. I told him I had one.
Funny thing is, he talked like he really liked the car and wanted to drive it for awhile.[B)] Guess maybe he was schmoozin' me a bit for a deal. Who knows[?]
Yeah, I've set in it before it was all dolled up and I supplied a brake drum 'er somethin' for it. Nice solid car and he's got it chromed up over what a custom model would be. Notice the whole TL body is chromed as is the HL bezels. He's put on the stainless gravel guards and a '51 hood ornament as well.
The red & blue interior is weird but then this all-original '58 wagon I've got is light blue and charcoal gray outside while the interior is red & black! What can one say[?] It's the "Funky Fifties"![:0]

Hello, Miscreant,:)
I know I'm way off the subject of this discussion, but am at a loss how to start a new subject. Have lots of stories to tell about retrieving cars in the future. I picked you to test my first attempt because you are so experienced.
Arkiejazz[:I] brought me his favorite Champ (5speed) to babysit while he is out of town, and showed me how simple it is to get in the discussions.
My son, Dennis;), and I have been driving Larks since he got his license in 1970. Between us, we've probably put 400k on them. Add over a 100K that baby daughter Gaelyn[:I] put on her 59 Regal, and 10K that Daughter-in -law, Annette [:X] added to the pot in her 63 Cruiser,
of which several parts of it are still on the road, so I'm sure we've topped the i/2 million mark. Found Gaelyn's 59 in some guy's back yard, and it returned home and is awaiting restoration.
Dennis is still driving 2 or 3 Larks, including a 63 Cruiser that
was his Mom's (Dorella) ride for a good 15 years before we discovered the many amenities late model cars have ( I know, they are baby sitters for us seniors). I presently drive a 59 hardtop that is in almost show condition, and a 60 sedan Lark that is mostly original. Grandson, Lane, and I are about ready to put a63 Cruiser together for his first car. He's just about to get his learner's permit. That's it in a nutshell. May start a subject about driver stories when I learn how.[:o)]
I'm sure that we have over a 100 studes in the immediate Amarillo area, most of which are not in our High Plains Chapter. Lookig forward to really getting involved in this here vehicle.

Hey Gib!

Starting a new topic (discussion) is easy. When you choose "General Studebaker Discussion" OR "Tech Talk" Just click on where it says "new Topic". Type in the title you want to call your new discussion and then hit the "tab" key and type in what you want to say. Once you're done, click on the "Post New Topic" button just below and you've started a new topic thread! Hell - if you can put a Lark together, you can start a topic thread!;)

Thanks, Miscreant,
Sure enjoyed Dingleberry's story. It is almost like my daughter's story, Gaelyn, even down to the color. She is a couple of years younger though.
