  • Manual Transmissions

Hopefully some of you more experienced guys will know the answer to this right off the top of your heads. I know that the early automatic transmissions were a joint venture by Studebaker and Borg Warner. Were the manual transmissions, three speed and three speed o/d also B/W?

    Yes.

    Miscreant at large.
No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

T85C/T-89C's were also used in heavy duty V8 applications(56J) taxi cabs, and trucks.
Trucks also used the Borg Warner T-98A truck 4 spd.

I think the only non-BW trannys used in postwar vehicles were the New Process & Clark 4 & 5-speeds in trucks.
