This is related to my brake upgrade question. I have an NOS Hydrovac. I can hear the neatsfoot oil slosh inside when I shake it. Is there a way to bench check this unit? I hate to take it apart to inspect it if there is no need to.

JC, it is not practical to build all that it would take to check one Hydrovac. Most places that rebuild them would check it for you on their test bench. I have had them tested at Midwest Rebuilding in the Chicago area and they don't even charge me for the test.
